Girls' AI Bootcamp in uMlazi
GoDigitalSA Foundation, uMlazi Community Partner to the 'AI in Africa' bootcamp series that took place across South Africa in 2019, brought this event to KZN in October 2019.
These events are for girls aged 15 to 18 years old in previously disadvantaged communities, to create purposeful, high impact solutions.
Created by the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation and Fliptin Venture Builder, this bootcamp is a tech-based initiative for girls which will put uMlazi school girls through a challenge addressing social problems within the community.
Participants are required to use design thinking and artificial intelligence (AI) to address local community challenges.
